THE SEED PRINCIPLE: OUR STORY

 

“You can count the seeds in an apple, but you can't count the apples in a seed. When you teach, you never know how many lives you will influence...you are teaching for eternity.” - a quote by Karen Jensen

 

Unknown to many, the PedAcademy story actually began in 1964. It started as a small seed of an idea that was planted in the mind of a new public school teacher at the time. The idea grew into a dream.

As she taught in a crowded classroom, she dreamed that one day, in her community, a school could be built where equal attention could be given to every child, where children could learn in comfort. After 42 years, she retired at the peak of her teaching career as Schools Superintendent in the Department of Education - Capiz Division.

I should know the story quite well, as I was THAT teacher.

 

PedAcademy, Inc., formerly known as Mundo ng Mga Bata Early Childhood Learning Center, was established in 2006. It opened its doors to receive its first batch of preschoolers in June 2007. In 2008, it became a recipient of the government’s Education Service Contracting program. It marked the beginning of the School’s Elementary Program. PedAcademy was awarded Government Recognition of both its Preschool and Elementary Programs in 2011 by the Department of Education - Region VI.

Today, we continue to stand firmly on our belief that great things come from small beginnings. We can possibly count how many seeds there are in one fruit, but we just don’t know how many fruits that one seed can make.
